Selera Malaysian restaurant

Franken Restaurant: Klosterschänke (Bad Homburg)

Everyone misses their home food and there is no exception for the Germans also. A German freind who comes from the franken region wanted to eat the Franken food. I was not really know the difference between the franken and barbarian food. And I think there is no difference, after collecting the experience of the franken food in the reataurant in Bad Homburg. It was the 1st week of Friday in year 2018. The first week was very demanding and stressful. It made me to feel more tired when I arrived at the restaurant. But the huge amout of the meat made me completely wake-up.  The food at that restaurant was overall okay, I can say the everage German restaurat it was. I think it was not that worth to visit tbis restaura nt from Frankfurt.  My full meat comes in front of me. Käse spatzler, it was not bad Schnitzel, never failed standarize food in Gsrmany The source was nice.^^

First three stars Michelin restaurant: Le Bernadine(New York)

The one thing I always try was to go very popular restaurant one day. I cannot really differenciate the real good taste or not, but I want to feel the different atmosphere. At least once in my life, I wanted to try a good restaurant and it was a great opportunity that I was in New York. The restaurant Le Bernadin has the three stars Michelin review. Someone said that how the people from the tire company know or evaluate the good taste, haha it might be true. Anyway, there is a lunch prix-fixe as of 90$ and I could afford this. Price makes atmospheres, even I know that how good this restaurant is. The art of the food, the behaviour of the steffs, everything except the bill makes me happy. I feel like I want to earn more money to visit this kind of restaurants often. But I think just once per year would be enough, if I still have a job in the coming years. The problem of the billing system in the US is, I have to calculate the tax and the tips additionally, and plus beverages. 7...

Christmas Holidays: Food trip in New York

There are tons of tourists in New York. Someone likes shopping and someone likes museums or musical. What I like to do in NY? It's eating out!!! Lobster in Chelsea market NY has a Chinatown, Korean town, little Italy and so on. This diverse multicultural background makes the variety choice of the restaurants. I was not checked what to do in NY, but I checked what to eat in NY a lot. 1. Panda express: whenever I saw the american TV shows, the actors in the show sometimes ordered the delivery Chinese noodle in the paper-box. I was really curious the taste, so it was the first meal I tried in NY. But it was not recommendable. The taste was so so, will never try again 2. Sandwich in Ruby's cafe: This small and cozy imbiss is quite popular among Koreans. There was a bit waiting time at the entrance, but it was worth to wait. The size of the sandwich in Amercia is at least 1 and a half bigger than in Germany 3. Chelsea Market: I organised a couch su...

Christmas holidays: Northern-lights in Iceland

One of the activities I wanted to achieve in Winter was seeing the northern lights. Well, it was super expensive to visit the northern European countries from Korea, it was just stayed as a wishlist for some day. Fortunately, the flight ticket to the northern European countries from Frankfurt is not that expensive, it costs approx. 200 Eur. There are many great spots to see the northern-lights, but I choose to visit Iceland just because I can make a transit in Reykjavik on my trip to the New York. I was able to stay for 3 nights and 4 days in Iceland. It was my second time visit in Iceland, so I was not that much motivated to do sightseeing in this time. Instead, I enjoyed Spa and eat local foods. The price of the traditional Icelandic food is really expensive. I only had the main meal and one cocktail, but it was already reached 50 Eur. The good thing was, the taste of the restaurant was really nice. Fish meal, so soft and the source was fantastic Slow cooked lamb leg...

Frankfurt

Dumpling Party: once per year is enough

I would like to have a dumpling every year, but it must be once per year. Making dumpling at home is not that easy. First, I have to prepare the fillings which need a lot of time. If there is any water left in the ingriedents  the shape of the dumpling will become deformed. Therefore, I had to get rid of the water inside of the veggies and tofu as much as possible. Another problem is to.prepare the dough, the dumpling skin. It should be as thin as possible, so we need a lot of efforts to make the dough thiner by pressing and rolling the dough many times. So, we confined this event only once oer year. There are many different types of dumplings come this time: chinese, japanese, korean and polish style dumplings. During we are making the dumplings, we also ate tons of dumplings. There were variius ways to cook the dumplings: steamed, boiled, fried... All of dumplings taste sooo good and many dumplings left at my friedge. I think I will have enough many dumpling soup...
