It was not a good day for a hiking, but it was better to go somewhere than just stay at home Eltville is not far from Frankfurt am Main, it takes approx. 1 Hour by the train. I was once at there to eat the grilled barbarian style chicken and beer, so went there this time again. First, we arrived at the town Eltville. The town was fully covered by the fog and we could not see any. After an hour hiking, the fog was somehow disappeared and we could see at least what is in front of us. The view on the way up to the restaurant It was 1 and a half hour, the duration we took from the town to the restaurant. As I remember, it was full with a lot of people, but the restaurant was almost empty when we arrived at there this time. Unfortunately, the chicken dish I wanted to try was not in the menu. I think this menu exists only during the summer time. The taste of the German food in this restaurant was overall great. Just only the schweinehaxe was a bit to dry.
