BAEGOPA LEE: FRANKFURT

프랑크푸르트에 여러 스페인 레스토랑이 있지만 Centro Cultural Gallego 는 접근성에 있어서 가장 나은 것 같다. 일단 위치가 Konstablawache 역과 멀지 않아 가기 쉽고, 건물 전체가 식당이라 자리 구하는데 어려움을 겪지 않는다. 가격도 이정도면 착하지 않나 생각된다. 물론 반대하는 이들도 좀 있겠지만.  아시는 분이 독일에 잠깐 들르셔 만나기로 하였는데 저녁 8시에나 시간이 되어 술 한잔 겸 작은 음식들을 곁들여 먹기로 하였다. 가볍게 음식과 술한잔 하기엔 스페인 음식점이 안성맞춤인 것 같아 이 Centro Cultural Gallego에 모시고 갔다. 한국에서 오셔서 그리 해산물을 그리워 하시지 않아 거의 대부분을 내가 먹은 것 같다. 식전빵에 찍어먹는 알리올리랑 마늘기름은 내가 가장 좋아하는 여기 음식. 쓸데없이 마늘기름을 전부 다 먹어버린 것 같다. 속이 다 니글니글하다. 마늘기름으로 요리한 새우요리 스페인햄이 그리워 이걸 시켰다. 역시 와인과 잘 어울린다. 배가 좀 고파서 미트볼도 시켰다. 문어는 꽤나 잘 익혀졌다. 오늘 시킨거 중에 가장 맛나는거 같다.

프랑크푸르트의 한국음식점은 다들 너무 비싸다. 누가 먼저 가격을 책정하였는지는 모르겠다만 제공되는 음식에 들어가는 노력대비 가격이 좀 쎈거 아닌가 하는 생각이 자주 든다. 이는 내가 대부분의 음식을 직접 만들기 때문에 이렇게 말할 수 있는 것 같다.  집에서 한국음식을 자주 해먹기 때문에 다른 음식들은 잘 안먹지만 한국식당에 가면 튀김음식류는 꼭 먹는다. 집에서 튀김음식을 해먹으면 기름 처리도 어렵고 기름이 부엌 온 사방에 튀어서 미끌미끌 거리고, 그리고 공기중의 기름들이 부엌 이곳저곳에 들러붙어 끈적거리고, 아무튼 그래서 튀김음식은 정해서 딱 세달에 한번씩만 한다. 프랑크푸르트에서 어떤 음식점이 좋냐고 다들 물어보는데 나는 보통 서울포차나 미소를 추천하는 편이다. 서울포차의 마늘치킨과 미소의 굴보쌈을 좋아해서 그런 것 같다. 물론 두 식당의 다른 음식들은 쏘쏘인 경우도 있지만 위의 두 메뉴는 실패하지 않는 것 같다. 친구들과 같이 또 한번 서울포차를 찾았다. 치맥을 위해 가긴 했는데 이집의 맥주는 아쉽다.병맥이 아닌 생맥이라면 더 자주 갔을지고 모르나 비싼 돈을 주고 병맥을 마시는게 좀 불만이긴 하다.  매번 같은 거만 시켜서 이번엔 매운 갈비도 시키고 했다. 또 하나 내가 좋아하는 음식은 불닭인데 이 식당의 불닭만 먹으면 이마에서 땀이 줄줄 난다. 캡사이신을 사용해서 나오는 매운 맛이라 생각되긴 하지만 그러면 어떠하리, 진짜 매움을 느낄 수 있는데. 그나저나 나혼자만 한국사람인데 내가 매운 음식을 제일 못먹는거 같다. 김치찌개도 한번 시켜봤다. 역시 찌개류는 그냥 집에서 먹는게 나을 듯 싶다.  암튼 마늘치킨 강추!! 내가 젤 좋아하는 마늘치킨, 좀 어둡게 나왔다. 친구들은 파전을 좋아하지만 집에서 쉽게 만드는 파전이 15유로라니.. 김치찌개는 맛이 좋지만 나누어 먹긴 좀 번거롭다. 땀 삐질삐질 나오게할 불닭 양념치킨은 약간 ...

If you like the taste of the restaurant but if you don't like the service at there, what would you like to do? The restaurant Xiang gives me such a consideration. Obviously, I like this restaurant very much because the taste is great and the price is low. I can say this restaurant is the most reasonable price restaurant in Frankfurt. However, some of my friends did not like it because the staff was unfriendly. Fortunately, I cannot speak Chinese. Therefore, I don't know the staff is friendly or not. I could somehow feel it that the staff is not very frendly by the behaviour when the food was served. But I think it is at least much better than the most staffs in the German restaunts. If you go alone or in a small group. Just try the garlic shirimp in the photo below. It is the best in this restaurant. And also, the water boiled fish tastes really good. It does not need to be in November to eat the mussels, but this month would be the best time to have the best taste of the mussels.  I got invited to have the dinner with moules marinières at a friend's house. Obviously, the way of cooking the mussels in Europe is quite different from the korean way. We cooknthe mussels for the soup, but they cook it to eat the mussels more.  We were total 7 people and we ate 6kg mussels, 2 baguettes, 1 big salad and 2 asian salads. And as a dessert we ate 1 whole home made cake, the birthday cake for one of the members. And we drunk quite many bottles of wine.  It's always rain outside on the weekend, so I could not run for a while. However, I ate a lot recently at home or at the restaurant since it is not good time to go out due to the cold weather. Probably, chicken was the meat I ate most among the different types of the meat. It is related to the drinking culture in Korea. Whenever we drink alcohol, we need to eat something together. Most often selected food, when we drink beer , will be the fried chicken.  When I was a uni student, I ate average 2 chickens per week. Or I ate at least 1 chicken per week. The price of fried chicken differs what kind of chicken you eat. If you eat famous chicken brand like BBQ, the one whole chicken costs approx. 15 Eur. But there are also some cheap chickens for the student exist. The price of the fried korean chicken in Germany is really expensive. Therefore, I did not order the fried chicken often.  But today was the day I really liked to eat chicken. It is my personal opinion, but the soy source chicken in the Seoul Pocha was the best taste in Frankfurt. I ate it many times and the taste was always good. When the cold winter comes, people come to my house to have a chinese hotpot party. Last week was particularily depressing due to the continuous rainy days and the cold weather. So, we had a quick hotpot meet up for the first time this year. First, we went to the go Asia chinese grocery shop in Kontaktschwache. Accoding to my chinese friends, the price of this shop is exactly same as other chinese shops. So, we don`t need to go other chinese shops where a bit apart from the centre. We are total 7 people and we spent approx. 140 EUR, so 20 EUR per each person we ate and drunk. We could eat exactly same price at the hotpot restaurant, but there is always different atmosphere at home. We could enjoy it in a closed space with only us. But the problem is, I had to clean all next day. It take a bit time. And my neighbour doesn`t like to noise at night. She ringed the bell at 11PM to ask us a bit quiet. When I woke up in the morning, there was a light rain outside. Yeah, it is not a good day for a hiking. However, 7 people include me have agreed to do hiking even it rains. We needed to go to the Großer Feldberg with the public transport. We had to take the train and then take the bus to be at the bus station in the 900m high Großer Feldberg. What we saw at there was the white covered field by the heavy snow. We did not know that snow falls in this area before we arrived here.  The landscape was beautiful, but we could not proceed the hiking because of the light heavy snow. Even though we could not do the hiking, we could enjoy the beautiful white landscape over there. That was enough for today. The first snow in 2017, checked.
